I have no respect for time I respect and cherish the moments we spend together. Talking till the sun appears to tell us to shut up and sleep. The few moments of silence before we decide to do something dumb. The agonising seconds till you laugh so I'm assured you got what I meant, (you always get what I mean but this fear stays I'm sorry) On the couch, with crime patrol in the background as we walk past down memory line and you tell me how you got 3 (or was it 7, I can never recall) in maths, how the rest of your class came to taunt mischievously taunt you to drop maths, it's not for you. How you looked at me and told me about how your friend left you a few days after that, and the guilt ate you up. That phase must have been so hard for you but when you recount it, you made me smile. Endlessly ringing my phone because you had some silly cheesy story to share with me. Sitting on the sofa arm, both of us hunched over your screen looking at recipes that we would dirty the whole kitchen for. Late at night when we were both supposed to be asleep, answering and discussing all those "taboo" topics. Not once not twice but over and over again, I slammed you against the wall, you bounced back into my hands. There were times when people biked for kilometers and that was considered a privilege? Unfathomable to me, yet as you narrate the journey of your travels to college, I can almost imagine myself there. What I'm tryna say is I don't respect the time on the clock, but I respect the time I spend with you. If you poke at my heart and look inside it's made of all these times stitched together.
