I almost told you the truth

when you almost asked me about it.

I almost let you know of

how I feel for you,

I almost let myself be completely guardless,

and I almost let you in.

We almost had it all,

we almost confessed, and we almost had the fairytale

happily ever after

but,

then this unsteady bridge of almosts collapsed,

brought us back to reality from the world we almost had.
